Pernilla Winberg (b.1986), a Swedish artist driven by a profound connection to narratives and compelling images. 
By leaving comfort behind, she challenges the security of her hometown, with her art serving as a reflection of the pursuit of adventure. In the course of this journey, a profound love for the vast world develops, accompanied by a yearning for a secure place to belong.  Winberg discovers that her artistic exploration leads her back to Sweden – an enduring sanctuary and the very essence of safety, thus completing her creative journey.

Her often movements scenes draw inspiration from a wide range of photographic source materials, documentaries, imagery, memories, and period interiors are recurrent elements within her works. 
In the realm between disintegrated figurations and conceptual storytelling, Winberg's art seamlessly blends figurative expressions with environmental elements. Recognizable figures intertwine with abstract and surreal components, all rooted in conceptual neo-expressionism.
